We understand how important it is for parents to stay informed about their child’s progress and daily experiences. We provide regular updates through:

Daily Diaries: Informing parents about their child’s meals, activities, and rest times.
Parent-Teacher Meetings: Scheduled sessions to discuss your child’s development and achievements.
Newsletters and Notices: Keeping parents updated on upcoming events, curriculum highlights, and nursery news.

We also encourage open communication, inviting parents to speak with our team at any time to address questions or concerns.

Flexible Scheduling and Attendance

We recognise the need for flexible childcare solutions. At King Fishers Day Nurseries, we offer a variety of session times to accommodate busy family schedules, including:

Full Day Sessions

Half Day Sessions

Term-Time Only Placements

*For children attending 38 weeks per year. A retainer is required for the 14 weeks the child does not attend, ensuring their place is reserved.

Fees and Funding Options

We strive to make high-quality childcare accessible to all families by offering transparent fees and various funding options, including:

Early Years
Free Entitlement

For 9-month-olds (working parents), 2-year-olds (subject to eligibility), and all 3 and 4-year-olds.

Sibling
Discount

A 10% discount on the oldest child’s fees when their younger sibling joins.

Tax Credits and Childcare Vouchers

We accept childcare vouchers and provide guidance on claiming tax credits to help with childcare costs.

Our team is happy to assist parents in understanding funding eligibility and making the most of available support.

Safety and Wellbeing

Your child’s safety and wellbeing are our top priorities. We maintain a safe, secure, and nurturing environment where children feel protected and valued. All staff members are trained in:

Paediatric First Aid
Safeguarding (Level 1 to 3)
Food Hygiene

Each nursery manager is a Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL), ensuring a vigilant approach to safeguarding practices.

Highly Qualified Team

Our dedicated team of educators is passionate about early childhood education. All staff hold childcare qualifications ranging from NVQs to degree-level studies, ensuring the highest standard of care and education. Our team is continuously trained to stay up-to-date with best practices in early years education.

Our nursery managers are dedicated to creating a supportive and enriching environment for every child and family:

Addiscombe Manager: Poomany Srikantharajah (Mrs Poomany) – Committed to nurturing each child’s unique potential.
Brigstock Manager: Subothini Kuganesan (Mrs Subo) – Focused on fostering a safe and creative learning space.
Coulsdon Manager: Sofia Correia – Passionate about inspiring curiosity and confidence in young learners.

All our managers are Designated Safeguarding Leads (DSLs) and are always available to discuss any questions or concerns you may have.
