Overview of our Admissions & Fees

At King Fishers Day Nurseries, we provide more than just a standard education. Our enrichment programmes allow children to explore new interests and develop valuable skills beyond the core curriculum.

Our nursery year runs from 1st April to 31st March. We close for one week at Christmas, on all Bank Holidays, and for two training days each year—one in May and one in November.

Fees are based on your child’s booked attendance; payment is required in advance. Two-week advance payment is needed, which will be used for the final two weeks of your child’s time with us, if your account is in credit

We offer flexible session options, a transparent fee structure, and funding opportunities, including free entitlement for children aged 9 months, 2, 3, and 4 years. Registration

Please fill out our registration form and pay a £50.00 non-refundable registration fee to secure your child’s place.

Settling-In Sessions

Your child can attend free settling-in sessions to help them feel comfortable before they start.

Entitlement & Discounts

We provide government-funded Early Years Free Entitlement, offering up to 15 hours of free childcare per week for eligible children. You can use these hours flexibly across our sessions.

Entitlement for 3 and 4-Year-Olds

Every child is entitled to 15 hours of free early education per week from the term after their third birthday until they reach compulsory school age. This government-funded entitlement is part of the initiative to give all children access to high-quality early years education, helping them reach their full potential.

Government funding does not cover the costs of meals. The cost for meals are; Lunch £3 and Tea £4.

All 3 and 4-year-olds are eligible
15 hours per week, over at least 38 weeks per year or 11 hours per week, over at least 52 weeks per year
Funded by the government through Croydon Council

Sibling Discount

Tax Credits and Childcare Vouchers

Families may be eligible for tax credits or use employer childcare vouchers to help cover nursery fees. We are happy to guide you through the process to help you maximise your benefits.

Tax Credits: These are available from HM Revenue and Customs based on household circumstances. You may qualify for help with childcare costs if you work at least 16 hours per week. For more details and eligibility, visit www.hmrc.gov.uk/taxcredits.
Childcare Vouchers: We accept childcare vouchers from employers who offer this benefit. Vouchers are non-taxable and exempt from national insurance contributions for employees, while they also provide NI savings to employers. Both parents can claim if they are in employment.
