Hello, my name is Sofia, a passionate childcare professional with 18 years of experience in the industry.
I have always had a passion for working with children & a strong desire to gain a deeper understanding of child development.
My journey began at King Fishers as a level 2 nursery assistant, after achieving my level 3 qualification, I progressed through various positions & eventually became the Manager.
This extensive experience has provided me with a profound understanding of child development & nurturing environments that allow children to flourish.
I am dedicated to creating a positive & engaging space that supports both children & families.

What ages do you take?
Coulsdon Day Nursery cares for children from 3 months to 5 years old, in our Baby, Toddler and Preschool rooms.
What are your opening hours?
We are open Monday to Friday, 07:30 to 18:30. We close for one week at Christmas, on all Bank Holidays and for two training days each year, one in May and one in November.
Do you offer funded places?
Yes. Free early years entitlement is available for children aged 9 months (working parents), 2 (subject to eligibility), 3 and 4. Our team will happily help you work out what you are eligible for.
How much does nursery cost?
Fees depend on your child’s booked attendance and are paid in advance. We publish our full fees for funded and non-funded children on our Admissions & Fees page. There is a 10% sibling discount and we accept childcare vouchers.
Can I visit before I decide?
Of course. Call us on 020 8405 1542 or use the enquiry form and choose “Request a Visit”, and we will arrange a time to show you around.
How do I register my child?
Complete our registration form and pay the £50 non-refundable registration fee to secure your child’s place. Free settling-in sessions help your child feel comfortable before they start.
Who will be looking after my child?
All of our staff hold childcare qualifications, from NVQs to degree level, and are trained in paediatric first aid, safeguarding and food hygiene. Sofia Correia leads the Coulsdon team and is the Designated Safeguarding Lead.
