I love this nursery! Both of my kids loved it!
Sadly I had to change it because we moved to another city, but I strongly recommend it. Every one is super nice and kind. We miss you all

My son attended this nursery, the key workers are amazing, homely and knowledgeable. My son loved it here. Thanks Miss Ashley, Mrs Poomany, Miss Pauline and everyone. We love you all

Great place 👌 home to home
The staff/team at King Fishers day nursery are qualified, dedicated,hard working, caring, supportive and loving.
The manager is very professional, caring, supportive and helpful.
She is always ready to help.
I now have my 3rd child attending this nursery and never had a hint of concern or worry.

My son goes to this nursery since he was 8 months and he never ever had rash there, he started with miss Sarah that is a wonderful person,I feel that she's the best, there is Ashley that is very fun 😄 my son adores her alot, wahiba as well is competent ,all of the staff are honest and responsible,they provide a great service, they give you a daily report via the app and more info if you ask them and guidance as well, Sarah is so good at that,she gave me a lot of tips and it works.i would choose this nursery again if I get a second child lol

My sons have both attended this nursery and have had the best experiences there. They have both grown so much and loved their key workers from day 1. The nursery has a very good family focus and they treat each child as the individual that they are. Thank you for everything to all the wonderful team.

My son and daughter both attended Kingfisher nursery and both flourished under the care of the staff. The setting is clean, the teachers are caring, attentive and both my children grew great bonds with all the staff. The teaching is first class and my children learnt and developed the necessary skills to start school. I noticed that my children were a lot more advanced than others and I really credit the nursery for their excellent learning and development program. I highly recommend this nursery.

My sons have attend the nursery one is shy and the other very lively and not so shy! The nursery has been really good in teaching and using creativity. My son is always bring home drawings and creations and loves seeing them at home. He really loved a counting book that nursery made that he brought home. Really helped with his counting. Staff are friendly and responsive to parents questions.

Meet our Branch Manager

Poomany Srikantharajah

I have over 25 years’ experience working with children and 8 years as a nursery manager.

My career started at Kingfishers Day nursery, Brigstock Road as a Nursery Assistant while I was doing Level 3 Childcare qualification. After gaining my qualification I was promoted to Nursery Practitioner then onto Room Leader, Deputy Manager and finally Manager. Throughout my career, I continued to study and gained NVQ Level 4 qualification in Children Care and Education, and Level 3 in Play and Children with Special Needs. I also have PLA Diploma in Pre-School Practice and have undergone extensive further training within the childcare industry.

I am enthusiastic, hardworking and incredibly passionate about working with children. I will continue to strive to gain more knowledge to enable myself and my team to carry on providing the highest quality childcare and education to all our children.

My vision is to continue to provide a warm and stimulating environment to help children grow, be healthy, feel happy, safe, secure and provide the best quality care. We want to ensure parents feel confident and reassured that their children are in the thriving setting.

We form strong bonds with our children and parents, and pride ourselves in having created a homely, nurturing environment. We have an open-door policy where I will always make myself available so that parents/ staff can feel free to have a chat whenever they need.

I am proud to be leading our long term dedicated, hardworking team and I strongly believe we give our children the right environment, tools, value, care and support to truly flourish.
